XNA Game Studio Express launches

Microsoft said today they had released XNA Game Studio Express for would be game developers to develop titles which can be played on the Xbox 360. As part of this release, they announced the XNA Creators Club, a pay for gaming development community which will provide "access to thousands of game assets from Microsoft and key supporters such as Turbo Squid Inc., as well as white papers, specialized starter kits, samples and technical product support". Also announced was a contest set for January open to XNA Game Studio Express customers on Windows as well as those on Xbox 360 through the XNA Creators Club membership which will end in the winner's title being published on Xbox Live Arcade.
