Xbox gamers not only have the power to rock-out like a rockstar on Rock Band, but now have the political power to "Rock the Vote!" This November, Xbox Live members can make a difference in America by registering to vote through the Xbox Live service.
Caroline McCarthy, CNET Editor posted the news, beginning August 25 gamers will notice the new Rock the Vote promotion. Rock the Vote organization partnered with Microsoft's Xbox Division (as well as MySpace) to provide voting registration along with presidential polls and surveys via Xbox Live. Also, Microsoft will promote Rock the Vote at both Democratic and Republican conventions.
With over 12 million Xbox Live members, bringing voting registration, polls, and surveys to the gaming generation, it is a surefire strategy to ensure voter participation among the notoriously uninvolved youger demographic. After all, the YouTube presidential debate earlier in the year was quite a success, drawing millions of views from accross the web.
