Xbox 360 to sport internal HD DVD drive?

Fresh off of the rumors of Xbox 360 HD DVD bundles being available soon comes a published report today in DigiTimes that Microsoft will eventually offer Xbox 360s with a built-in HD DVD drive. Sources in the Taiwanese optical disc drive industry told the IT publication “Microsoft may launch the Xbox 360 equipped with the built-in HD-DVD drive in the first half of 2007 at the soonest”. These same sources said Microsoft will launch their external HD DVD drive around the end of the year.
