Xbox 360 Price Cut Now Official

After images of a Kmart promotional flyer showed the Xbox 360 Pro system on sale for $299, the internet was abuzz with speculation about whether this was a real price cut or a misprinting by the retailer.

Today, another source has confirmed the planned drop in price. A Radio Shack mailout planned for the week of July 13th shows the “Pro” system on sale for the low, low price of $299, just like the Kmart advertisement.

If these two sources are accurate, gamers should be able to pick up an Xbox 360 Pro system (which includes the 20 gb hard drive and component cable) for $299 starting on July 13. If you are considering a purchase, it might be wise to wait a couple of weeks and save the extra money.
