Xbox 360 Euro price cut?

Could there be a price cut for the Xbox 360 tomorrow in Europe? The Financial Times Germany has published a story (in German) suggesting just that.

The Xbox 360 Arcade could sell for a mere 199 Euro instead of 280 Euro. An Xbox 360 would be 199 Euro, 50 Euro cheaper than a Nintendo Wii. The Xbox 360 Pro would also see a drop from 349 Euro to 299 Euro.

There have been rumours that Microsoft is in talks with Sony about licensing integrated Blu-ray drives for the Xbox 360. A price cut on the 360 could give Microsoft pedaling time to bring out a new wave of Blu-ray capable consoles.

Don't care about Blu-ray? Then Monday could be a good time for Europeans to pick up a 360 on the way home with a wheel of cheese. Meanwhile, people in North America and elsewhere dreaming of a new Xbox can only hope for an inevitable price cut to roll their way too.
