What is Microsoft Showing at GamesCom 2010?

The GamesCom conference is taking place in Cologne, Germany this week. It is comparable to the E3 of Europe, with major presentations from all video game publishers and manufacturers, including Microsoft and Sony. This year, Microsoft will be devoting a lot of time at the conference to promote its new motion control system, Kinect. But there will also be some other interesting games shown on the show floor. Here's what the company has told us they will be showing:

15 exclusive Kinect titles, including never-before-seen levels, new environments, achievements and characters for "Kinect Sports," "Kinect Adventures," "Kinectimals" and "Kinect Joyride." MTV Games and Harmonix will also announce new chart-topping dance tracks for the highly anticipated "Dance Central."

The company will be showing off Age of Empires Online and Fable 3 for the PC platform.

Halo Reach is expected to be a big feature of Microsoft's conference.

Gamescom 2010 is also the venue for the global unveil of the first wave of Xbox LIVE games launching on Windows Phone 7. Building on Microsoft's pioneering work with Xbox 360, Windows Phone 7 will be home to a portfolio of Xbox LIVE titles, with Microsoft Game Studios leading the charge. The platform will support avatars (they look identical to their Xbox LIVE counterparts) and these can be fully customized. Achievements, profiles, friend lists (with status), and leaderboards are also supported. Click here for the full list of Windows Phone 7 games currently in development.

Additionally, Microsoft will announce the development of a new game inspired by the time-honored Flight Simulator franchise for the PC.
