Top 10 Xbox 360 Games That Dominated Xbox Live In 2011

2011 was a big year in gaming as we saw huge releases from some of the biggest gaming companies in the world.

These releases included games such as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and more.

Major Nelson has revealed which games were played the most on Xbox Live throughout the year 2011.

What was revealed did come as a surprise at first, but can easily be explained.

The top Xbox Live game of 2011 was Call of Duty Black Ops, followed up by Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

This may seem like a shock at first, but you have to consider Black Ops was up and running on Xbox Live all year, while Modern Warfare 3 did not release until November 2011.

Call of Duty dominates the top 3 slots of this list though which is pretty remarkable when you think about it.

One would have to wonder if Activision would ever consider releasing an online-only version of the game considering the online success that the game enjoys.

The top 5 were rounded out with some other great releases including the Call of Duty competitor Battlefield 3, as well as Halo Reach.

Heading towards the latter half of the top 10 list includes some sports titles, including two FIFA releases.

Some other games hanging around in the top of the list include Gears of War 2, Read Dead Redemption, and Battlefield Bad Company 2, showing the longevity of these titles.
