Three New XBLA Games This Week
Three new games this week hit the Xbox Live Arcade - Catan, Centipede, and Millipede. Catan (800 MS Points), is the electronic incarnation of the popular board game Settlers of Catan. Catan pits the player against the other colonists in competition for control over land, resources, and trade routes. Centipede and Millipede have been packaged together in a single pack (400 MS Points) - both with hi-def facelifts and surround sound.

The release of Catan is somewhat soured by the lack of a free trial, though Xbox Live community liaison Major Nelson has promised that it is a technical issue currently being addressed.
The dual-packaging of Centipede and Millipede gives players two games for the same price as previous retro-rehashes, without sacrificing any of the bells and whistles, a solid value for any player looking for a quick old-school fix.
