The New, New Xbox Experience

If you spend any time at all with the 360 dashboard, you've noticed how sluggish the response time has become post-NXE. The system seemingly lurches to a halt between a button press and actual reaction on the screen, especially during the first few minutes of turning on your system.
Given enough time the system catches up a bit, but you may still get saddled with 2-second lag when pulling up menus and screenshots of games -- and 2 secs can seem pretty annoying when all you want is a quick peak.
Word has it from Major Nelson himself, in his recent podcast, that relief will be forthcoming later this year in the next dashboard update.
"The team has done some really good stuff around making performance enhancements. 'Performance enhancements' doesn't sound right because it sounds like we're going to give the guide a little blue pill, and we're not doing that. Whatever we call it (and it's not going to be called the NNXE), but whatever the next version of the dashboard is called, it's better with a lot of very cool new features. That update will be out later this year."
Finally. Took you long enough, Microsoft.
Hmmm... NNXE. That does sound catchy. Sorry, Major Nelson.

Bit of a fuss over nothing in my opinion.
Can't say as I ever really noticed the NXE dashboard being especially slow or unresponsive.
If they were going to be putting money, time & effort into stuff then I can think of better things that difficult to notice fiddling with the dashboard.
