Rock Band 2 Announced to Hit this September

Harmonix has announced some details about a follow-up to their massively successful music game, Rock Band.

The sequel to the hit music simulator will arrive in a few short months, to the delight of rock gods and goddesses everywhere. There have not yet been any new songs listed for the game, however the company states that all your hard music purchases for the first game will automatically work for the sequel. In fact, all previously purchased songs will automatically transfer over to your Rock Band 2 list.

In addition, we have learned that Microsoft has managed to snag a timed exclusive on the title, so Xbox 360 owners will be able to play the game first this September.

Hopefully we will get more information about the game from developers at E3 and get the opportunity to ask them "What else will be new?" There have been some rumors flying around about a planned the keyboard peripheral, but we still do not have confirmation on that.
