Riddick: Dark Athena Demo now on Xbox Live

Atari has released a demo for its upcoming game Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. Gold members will be able to download the 643 MB file right away, while Silver members will have to wait until March 11th before they can grab the demo.

Featuring the Athena Main Decks level, the demo showcases the game's nocturnal "look", as well as some of the innovative gameplay elements contained in the newest Riddick game. It is fairly short, and can be completed in around 20 minutes, but there are lots if interesting gameplay mechanics and things to play around with in the level. The demo contains some up-close and personal melee combat, a nerve-rattling stealth aspect, and of course a lot of gunplay. Among other gameplay elements, the demo also lets players try one of the game’s unique features: controlling a Drone. Fans of Vin Diesel will also be happy to hear that some cinematic cutscenes are also included.
