"RAAM's Shadow" Debuts Today as the Biggest Game Add-on in "Gears of War" History

Bold new campaign adventure offers more than three hours of new gameplay for the highest-rated shooter of 2011 [1], "Gears of War 3"
London - 13th December 2011 - The most critically-acclaimed shooter of the year is poised to immerse fans in a brand new campaign adventure unlike anything experienced before. Available today on Xbox LIVE for 1,200 Microsoft Points, the second major game add-on for "Gears of War 3," "RAAM's Shadow," delivers more than three hours of new campaign gameplay, and for the first time, features missions on both sides of the Locust war.

Set in the chaos of post-Emergence Day Sera, "RAAM's Shadow" drops players into a new team of Gears known as Zeta Squad as they attempt to evacuate Ilima City and protect the citizens against a Locust Kryll storm. Taking on the infamous Locust leader from the original "Gears of War," General RAAM, Zeta features the familiar faces of Michael Barrick (from "Gears of War" comics fame), Lt. Minh Young Kim ("Gears of War") and Tai Kaliso ("Gears of War 2"), and introduces a new female comrade, Alicia Valera.

In addition to fighting as a new squad of Gears, players will step into the boots of RAAM himself, and for the first time, storm a human stronghold from the perspective of one of the series' most legendary bosses.

On top of the new campaign experience, "RAAM's Shadow" features the Chocolate Weapon Set, new Achievements worth an additional 250 Gamerscore and six new multiplayer characters, including General RAAM, the Theron Elite Commando, Alicia Valera, Lt. Minh Young Kim, Tai Kaliso and Michael Barrick.

Players can experience "RAAM's Shadow," obtain all the previously released multiplayer maps, characters, weapon skins, Horde fortification upgrades and Achievements in the "Horde Command Pack," and gain access to two more upcoming game add-ons by purchasing the "Gears of War 3" Season Pass for 2400 Microsoft Points, which entitles them to the first four game add-ons for a overall discount of 33 per cent.

Additionally, fans can get a sneak peek of the epic new campaign gameplay in "RAAM's Shadow" by checking out the world premiere trailer, available today on Xbox LIVE and GearsofWar.Xbox.com.

Developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by Epic Games, "Gears of War 3" is available in three distinct editions - Standard (£49.99), Limited (£59.99, available at selected retailers) and Epic (£99.99, available at GAME and gamestation). For a limited time only, the custom-designed Xbox 360 Limited Edition "Gears of War 3" Console is also available for a suggested retail price of £269.99 and features a copy of the game, two specially-designed Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers, limited edition downloadable content, built-in Wi-Fi and a massive 320 GB hard drive. The Limited Edition Wireless Controller is also available separately for a suggested retail price of £34.99. Both available exclusively at GAME and gamestation.
