New Year's Gaming Flashback, Imagining A Kinect Fantavision

New Year's is upon us as we get ready to turn the calendar to a new year, turning from 2011 onto the year 2012. With New Year's comes many fireworks, and that immediately made us think, what is Fantavision made a comeback as an Xbox 360 Kinect title?

Fantavision, for those of you who do not remember, released as a popular launch game on the Sony PS2.

The game was very different in that it was a puzzle that was set to huge fireworks displays which showed off the graphical capabilities of the then next-generation console.

The idea was to detonate as many of the moving fireworks as possible in sequence to create combos and amazing displays on-screen.

One of the bigger issues with this game though was the controls, as it was not the most intuitive experience.

So what is the franchise was reborn as a game on the Xbox 360 Kinect?

The Kinect, in our minds, would be the perfect platform for this type of experience. Utilizing your hands for the fireworks puzzle-esque gameplay would be extremely engrossing, and could turn out to be quite an addictive experience.

We have a vision of standing in front of your HD television with the Kinect fired up, using your hands to detonate fireworks in front of you.

Throw in some beautiful surround sound and you would have one-heck of a puzzle experience, a genre that is lacking on the Xbox 360 Kinect.

Would you play this if this was released for the Xbox 360 Kinect?
