Splat%20Thumb.jpg

The year is 1988 and Namco came out with a unique game based on a man in a hockey mask and no it is not Jason! The situation is that two college students are working on a project and have to take shelter in this creepy mansion when of course they run into trouble. Come to find out there was a Creepy Doctor involved who was doing crazy experiements and so Rick and his girlfriend are tossed in this freaky world when all of a sudden Rick is left for dead and wakes up with the Terror mask attached itself to him. So the scenario is this, Your girlfriend is kidnapped by demons, you are left for dead and wake up with uber power and now have to find her and possibly unearth ungodly evil to save both of your lives. Hell sign me up for this adventure!

Since this game launched on the TurboGrafx-16, it has had much fan dom and many sequels. Now coming next year is the next gen version of Splatterhouse with the new merged company Namco-Bandai. This news first debuted on the lasted issue of "Electronic Gamer Monthly" showed the first look of this upcoming gore title that is expected to hit consoles next year. One of the cool features of this game is the regneration system when you take on damage and I mean serious damage. You will see flesh and bone come right off Rick when you play through the game and develop damage. If you give yourself time enough to heal up, which would be the best example as stated in EGM "It is like the shield regenerator for Master Cheif!" Honestly it is more like wolverine since he regenerates in the same fashion. After hearing and seeing that in the images I was very disgusted and impressed at the same time.

However I don't want to give away too much just yet, please visit The Feed G4 for the full story on this game and for more in-depth look check out the official site @ Namcobandaigames.com. Have anymore questions just hit us up on the forums @ Gameflavor.com and as always "Stay Frosty" gamers!
