We are closely listening to all our fans. It's a game for the players after all" says Marek Rosa

Fans' opinions requested for new logos, a new blog from the Founder, and staff hires from 2K Czech are seeing another large step forward for Keen Software House.

Keen Software House has been working on a new logo for their up-and-coming title Miner Wars 2081, and the advice of fans is being sought after. Feedback that is reliable and direct from the community is invaluable, and devoted fans have the chance to influence the direction of the game.

New logo images have been designed by artists in the company's HQ in Prague, which has seen several recent hirings for programmers. New to the catalogue are senior programmers from 2K games, makers of games such as Mafia II. Keen Software House now has a staff of around 20 core developers as well as an undisclosed number of external team members.

New staff is but a part of the increasing shift to complete and publish Miner Wars 2081. Currently the game is in a pre-alpha (prototype) phase, and updates are released to the public throughout production. A patch was expected for release in July, however this has been pushed back to a later date which is unconfirmed. Speaking with the founder and CEO Marek Rosa, he professed the next pre-alpha patch to be "game changing", and although often taciturn about release dates, there was speculation at an August 30th deadline.

Mr Rosa also has a new personal blog which charts the progress of Miner Wars and his personal insights into the industry. The blog can be found at http://blog.marekrosa.org/, and is reportedly updated on a regular basis.
