MindJack Reminds us of Syndicate (In a Good Way)

The year is AD 2031... When Governments no longer govern, and corporate giants hold the power, who can the people trust? That is the main story behind MindJack, a new third person shooter out this month on the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. The premise of the game reminds us of a great old strategy title on the PC: Syndicate Wars. In MindJack, the player controls a squad of rogue agents who can hack into enemy systems to control soldiers and vehicles to their advantage. Square Enix is publishing this, and we have to say that it has caught us completely by surprise.

It's usually not a good sign when games like this one get delayed. Originally due to be published last October, MindJack has been delayed by the publisher to give developers more time to polish the experience. We think it's probably a good decision in retrospect, as fall 2010 was full of other amazing titles that likely would have stolen the show. After viewing the promo video below, you'll agree that MindJack is definitely worth a look.
