Military Equipment bundled with Modern Warfare 2

Criminals and terrorists beware! Expect a rise in citizens arrests after dusk this fall. Reason? Video game publisher Infinity Ward bundles a Night Vision Goggle (NVG), typically considered military equipment, within their limited "Prestige Edition" of Modern Warfare 2 (MW2).

Infinity Ward's much-anticipated first-person shooter is bringing out the big guns, rather big 'nods' (military terminology), on November 10th this year. Gamers and military gear-heads alike may purchase the NVG equipped limited "Prestige Edition" for an unbelievable price of $149 announced Infinity Ward, compared to an approximately valued $3,000 military issued AN/PVS-7 NVG at OpticsHQ. MW2's branded NVG reliability and usefulness remains unclear, unlike the tried-and-true military issued.

What's included within the "Prestige Edition?"

  • Modern Warfare 2
  • Limited-Edition Steel Book
  • Limited-Edition Behind-the-lines of MW2 Art Book
  • Token to download original Call of Duty
  • Night Vision Goggles branded with MW2
  • Sculpted head for NVG display or storage.

If $149 burdens one's recession-effected wallet, the aforementioned goodies are available without the NVG's for a $79 "Hardened Edition." Watch Robert B., Infinity Ward's Community Manager, unbox and describe each edition. What say you? Will you purchase the "Hardened" or "Prestige Edition?"

The NVG given away is lucky to be a gen. 1 NVG. Horrible range and you can see that close w/o the goggles, if crime does increase it is because of stupid criminals, not experts with an edge.
