Microsoft reduces price for XBOX 360 Pro

The Wall Street Journal predicts Microsoft Corp. to reduce $349 XBOX 360 Pro model to $299 beginning Sunday. The reduction of price is likely to compete with the momentum of Sony's PS3 sales. If you've been thinking about ditching Master Chief for Solid Snake, you might want to eBay your dull-white noise maker now before it's worth less than the ticketed price of Janet Jackson's 2008 Concert.
UPDATE 12 JUL 08: Target is now selling, in stores only, the $299 XBOX 360 Pro. It appears the Wall Street Journal's prediction came true. However, other stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, Amazon, and Wal-Mart still have the approximate $349 price.
