Microsoft preps Xbox 360 Halo real time strategy game

In addition to news about Peter Jackson collaborating with Microsoft on a new Halo game, it was announced today at X06 that a real time strategy game based on the Halo universe was in development. Halo Wars is being worked on by Ensemble Studios, creators of the Age of Empires series. The game lets players “take command of human UNSC armies as they deploy for mankind’s first deadly encounter with the enemy Covenant forces”.
