Microsoft: HD DVD player just for movies

John Porcaro, a manager in the Microsoft Global Games Marketing Team, effectively squashed a rumor circulating around regarding the upcoming HD DVD accessory for the Xbox 360. In a post on his blog, Porcaro said “I'm seeing lots of speculation about our upcoming HD DVD Player, and whether we have plans to publish HD DVD games. The answer is no… It will not play games on HD DVD.” So, there you go, straight from the horse’s mouth we guess.
