London Games Festival Hopes to Break Cosplay Record

The next big conference on the videogame industry circuit is the London Games Festival, an international event for fans and industry leaders that will take place from October 24 to November 2. There will be some big names in gaming making an appearance this year, with playable versions of Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV available on the show floor. If the chance to try out these hot new games isn't worth the price of admission alone, we aren't sure what else would do it.

Besides games, there is a lot more going on in London during the week long event. The Media Expo going on at the same time covers comics, anime and movies. We can hardly think of a place on earth that will have as high a concentration of fanboys and girls. To entice the otaku even more, the organizers of the event have announced that they intend to break the world record for largest number of cosplayers in attendance. The previous record is a paltry 80 people dressed as Cloud Strife, so this shouldn't be too hard to achieve.
