List of Kinect Launch Games Keeps it Casual

As we get closer to the release of Microsoft's new Kinect camera system later this fall, we are starting to get a picture of the type of games that will launch with the peripheral. Despite the fact that Microsoft has targeted a more 'hardcore' gamer audience in the past, with a focus on action and first-person shooter titles, the new crop of games are decidedly casual. It seems that Microsoft envisions Kinect as a way to bring non-gamer members of the family into the action. But is there enough interest in these games to drive the core audience to run out and buy a $100 device? We'll have to wait until November to find out for sure. In the meantime, here is the current list of Kinect launch titles:

Do you see anything in this list that catches your eye? Neither do we. It seems as though Microsoft needs a killer app for the device if it wants to lure traditional gamers into bringing this trojan horse into their living rooms.
