Intense Alan Wake Video Builds Excitement For Game

Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment are bringing out the big promotional guns for the upcoming adventure/horror game Alan Wake. In development for more than 5 years, it would be an understatement to say this is our most anticipated upcoming Xbox 360 release of 2010. In fact, we are confident enough to predict that it will end up as a contender for game or the year. The latest trailer below gives gamers a pretty good sense of what to expect when the title lands later this year: an intense and relentless thriller full of creepy supernatural threats. The trailer also gives a tantalizing preview of the whole light combat mechanic, in which foes can be vanquished using available light sources like fire or your trusted flashlight (as long as the batteries don't run out). Kudos to the Remedy marketing team, because this video looks better than some recent Hollywood movie trailers we've seen.
