GT5 Tops Charts in UK, Kinect Sports in 12th Place

This week's UK retail video game chart was full of victories and disappointments, as publishers try to get their releases under the Christmas trees of cautious shoppers. Call of Duty: Black Ops slipped to second place last week in the UK, as gamers eagerly snapped up the long awaited Gran Turismo 5. FIFA 11 continues to do well as English gamers try to forget the dismal performance of their national team at this year's World Cup. Microsoft's Kinect Sports found a spot down at number 12, suggesting that the new motion controller has garnered some fans over in the UK. Nintendo continues to see strong sales of various casual Wii and DS titles, but has not managed to challenge the top three spots so far this season. Will Gran Turismo 5 manage to hold on to its spot to be the must-have game of holiday 2010? We wouldn't bet against it.
