Forza 3 Bundle Goes Head to Head With Gran Turismo 5

Modern Warfare 2 is not the only high-profile game to get an exclsuive Xbox 360 bundle this holiday. Microsoft is hoping that hype for its upcoming driving simulator Forza 3 will be enough to move some consoles as well. The company today announced the Xbox 360 Forza Motorsport 3 Super Elite Bundle. The system, which is intended to appeal especially to petrol-heads, will go on sale October 23, to coincide wit the launch of the game. Forza 3 allows players to take the wheel of more than 400 of the most exotic cars on over 100 renowned real-world tracks and road courses from around the globe, while new customization and sharing tools expand the "Forza Motorsport" community on Xbox Live. We suspect that the bundle will be quite popular, but we wonder what Sony will answer withm considering the upcoming release of Gran Turismo 5. If that game can release before Christmas this year, Microsoft will face an uphill battle, particularly in the UK where Sony traditionally has dominated the market.

Racing to UK stores on the 23rd October, the Forza Motorsport 3 Super Elite Bundle includes more storage space, with a 250GB Hard Drive, two Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers, as well as an Xbox 360 Headset and a Standard Edition copy of Forza Motorsport 3 for an estimated retail price of £249.99. (399 USD).
