Playlogic Entertainment has done the unthinkable and announced that its upcoming hack-n-slash game Fairytale Fights will get free DLC. This downloadable content will be available only to those gamers who purchase the title within 90 days of its release. According to the publisher, this additional stuff is worth around $15, making it a pretty generous offer. Of course, you could also just wait for the retail price to drop and save yourself a few more bucks.

In order to take advantage of the deal, gamers will need to register their copy of the game at www.fairytalefights.com/dlc. Once the downloadable content is available, bloodthirsty Fairytale Fights fans will receive exclusive redeemable codes, courtesy of Little Red Riding Hood.

Fairytale Fights DLC contents:

• 4 Brand New Playable Characters
• 3 Brand New PvP Arenas

Original fairy tales from authors like the Brothers Grimm were not so nice, and neither are the characters in this game. Essentially, the heroes have fallen into disrepute, and its up to the player to reclaim the fairytale status of Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Jack (of Beanstalk fame), the Naked Emperor and others. In order to accomplish this, a lot of blood will flow. Gameplay uses Real-Time Dynamic Slicing to carve up enemies like pieces of meat and Volumetric Liquid to spill 10,000 gallons of blood. When players encounter enemies and competing heroes they can freeze them, burn them or melt them with acid. The publisher promises 'hundreds' of unique weapons and environmental hazards that can be used to keep the blood flowing. Nearly three years in development, Fairytale Fights also features online multiplayer mayhem with up to 4 players.
