Fable 2 Designer Teams up with Bethesda

fable-2-characters-icon.jpg

Yes, you read that headline correctly. Video game design veteran Richard Ham today announced that he would be teaming up with Bethesda on a secret new title. Richard Ham is best known for his recent tenure at Lionhead studios, where he worked with Peter Molyneux on Fable 2. Before that, Ham worked on the stealth action series Syphon Filter. Bethesda is of course known as the powerhouse Western developer behind Oblivion and Fallout 3. So, what will happen when the developer of one of the most successful RPGs teams up with the developer of one of the other most successful RPGs? Probably -- if we had to put money on it -- another even more awesome RPG.

While it is hard to get our minds around the quality of game that these two forces could create when teamed together, that is exactly what is happening under the roof of boutique developer Splash Damage. And it seems like, from the sound of things, the new game will involve guns. Lots of guns. In a packaged press release today, Ham said, "I'm really excited to be at Splash Damage. Their pedigree in shooters is absolutely fantastic and when I met the team and saw what they were working on, I knew I had to be part of it."

So, are we looking at Fable with guns, or Syphon Filter with a character system? We’ll have to wait for more concrete information from Bethesda before we can answer that question.

This is actually White Knight Story
Or how about Fable with VATS?
