Electronic Arts Reveals Battlefront 3 Limited Edition and UK Pre-Order Bonus Content

Electronic Arts has announced the details regarding the bonus content and related information - along with pre-order bonus content - for its anticipated warfare shooter Battlefield 3.

In addition to a guaranteed Limited Edition offer for pre-order customers, the extended cut version will include free access to the Back to Karkand post-launch expansion DLC release from out of the box (proverbially and literally speaking, of course). That includes all three of the multiplayer maps in the expansion: Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman and the Sharqi Peninsula.

As if that's not enough, select UK retailers will be offering pre-order bonus content that includes three exclusive weapons (including the Type 88 light machine gun), eight exclusive player skins (one for each character class) and five exclusive dog tags for use in the player identification system.

Battlefield 3 will release for PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and PC in digital and retail formats on October 28, 2011 with exclusive digital release of the Limited Edition PC version on EA's new Orion download service.
