Fans have been scouring leaked marketing documents for details on their favorite Xbox 360 franchises and digging up lots of juicy nuggets of information. Thanks to an online breach at market survey firm Intellisponse, a wealth of information has found its way onto the net. One of the most interesting things to emerge from the leak is the news that Microsoft is working on Forza 3, and that the game is expected to require two DVDs.

This seems to run contrary to earlier claims by the company that developers would never need more space than a standard dual-layer DVD, something that has been the linchpin of their strategy against Sony’s Blu-Ray format.

With Forza, the company reportedly decided that the sheer number of features contained in the came necessitated an extra disk, stating that “due to the number of cars and tracks included in the Forza 3 game, it will be sold as a 2-disc set”.

Despite the embarrassment that this poses for the Microsoft marketing department, the inclusion of so many new features is probably good news for racing fans.
