Big Surf Island Release Date Announced!

Need a vacation this Summer to visit a beautiful island, perhaps off the coast of 'Paradise?' Seeking breath-taking views from high altitudes? Own a pair of board shorts? Ok, board shorts aren't required, but prepare now! This island getaway, vacation of the year arrives in two weeks. Criterion Game's announced the released date for their highly anticipated add-on, "Big Surf Island," for their "drive-anywhere" racing game, "Burnout Paradise."

Launching Thursday, June 11th via PlayStation Store and XBOX Marketplace, drivers will have accessbility across the currently constructed suspension bridge in Downtown Paradise to Big Surf Island. Here, challengers can participate in new events to unlock an additional eight cars, experience high altitudes with mega jumps, and test-drive Criterion's new motor-cross vehicle, Carson Dust Storm.

Those who haven't test drove Burnout Paradise, should consider shifting into the driver seat. Burnout has innovative, fun challenges with incredible replay value. From online gameplay within seconds called "Easy Drive" to expansion packs: Party Pack and Cops & Robbers. As fellow editor Jason Wong mentions, Burnout Paradise "keeps it fresh." No doubt drivers are anticipating the best vacation of the year at Big Surf Island.
