Arkadian Warriors Makes Heroic Debut on Xbox Live Arcade

Sierra Online's Hack and Slash Dungeon Crawler Now Available

Sierra Online, a division of Vivendi Games, has unleashed Arkadian Warriors for Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The action-adventure game spans treacherous dungeons where players embark on a trek of unimaginable proportions filled with countless enemies and powerful bosses. Developed by Wanako Studios, the award-winning creators of Assault Heroes, Arkadian Warriors allows players to fight in epic solo battles or join forces with a friend in the intense multiplayer co-operative mode -- online over Xbox LIVE online entertainment network or locally on the same system.

"Sierra Online has again delivered an original title that evolves the short-session gaming category," Nicole Perez, vice president of marketing, Sierra Online, said. "Arkadian Warriors brings a creative storyline and an imaginative setting to fast-paced gameplay. The result is a game experience unlike anything else on Xbox Live Arcade."

In the Arkadian Warriors game, players begin by choosing from three mighty warriors -- a Soldier, an Archer and a Sorceress -- to journey to the ultimate confrontation with the evil Gorgon. All three warriors have a unique special ability allowing them to transform into a giant alter ego for a short time -- a Lion, a Dragon or a Phoenix -- with increased power to crush all enemies in the area. Each created character is persistent and can learn new abilities as experience points are gained, allowing players to build up their characters to a maximum level of 20. Players can also upgrade their characters by purchasing more than 200 available items including weapons, armor and potions in one of the village shops with gold gathered in quests or by collecting items along their journeys. Arkadian Warriors is uniquely expansive and features a diverse dungeon generator, allowing players to take on enemies in different locations each time they embark on a new quest.

The Arkadian Warriors game is rated E10+ and is available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 800 Microsoft points.
