Puzzle Quest began its life as a PC game, before moving on to conquer the DS, PSP and Xbox Live Arcade. The 360 version is arguably superior to the others due to added support for online multiplayer. Now, the strategy RPG is set to get even better, with added features and quests coming in the form of a downloadable expansion pack. The downloadable content, "Revenge of the Plague Lord," will add four new professions to the game (Warlock, Bard, Rogue, and Ranger) as well as a new map area with over 25 new quests. The expansion, which developers are calling "Puzzle Quest 1.5" will be priced at 700 Microsoft Points (about $8).
Additional features included in the downloadable content include new monsters and bosses, more than 50 new spells and 40 new items, as well as three new achievements. It sounds like great value, and might be enough to tempt some gamers (ourselves included) to delve back into the addictive world of Puzzle Quest.
