Microsoft May Have Stolen Metal Gear Series from Sony

At Microsoft's E3 press conference 2009, Metal Gear Solid Rising (starring Raiden) was announced for the Xbox 360. Sony followed this up with Metal Gear Peace Walker for the PSP at their press conference.

It seems like the 360 pulled off a coup by finally landing the Metal Gear series on its console.

But what does this all mean? Does Kojima feel burned by the sales of MGS4 on the low selling PS3 system? That might be one explanation for why Kojima is hedging his bets and releasing Rising on the 360 as well as the PS3. The lure of the 360's larger installed base with the core gamer demographic is a logical move to ensure the survival of the Metal Gear brand.

If Metal Gear Solid Rising turns out to be the blockbuster on 360 like Kojima is banking on, perhaps it will also sound the death toll for the long association between this legendary series on the PlayStation consoles.

I think u have got the whole situation wrong.. Kojima have made it clear that he was not happy with this announcement but he had to (konami) plus this is a whole new game and story and if i understand things right Solid Snake/Big Boss will allways stay on the black bahamout, now this is no fanboy rant and just speakin things as i see them.
