How to Buy Games for Cheap!

The economy is not what it used to be, but the retail price of new games are still $60. So what's a guy to do -- find the cheapest way to game, that's what!
Here I'll lay down some tips for gaming on the cheap by finding deals for games on practically any system you own -- PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PSP, NDS, or Wii!
1) Target clearance aisles are a gold mine. They are located in the electronics dept., a few aisles down from where the game cabinets are. Hunt for the clearance section, it's worth it. The games are tagged with red stickers and offer great discounts off retail price.
2) Sears and Kmart offer clearance games too, but you'll have to do a little extra work convincing the sales clerks to scan an older title in hopes it being clearanced out.
3) Don't be embarrassed to use coupons. Remember, coupons can be used on clearance items too.
4) Online deals are where it's at. A few favorite websites of mine are GoHastings, GoGamer, NewEgg, Frys, and of course Amazon's fantastic Lightning Deals. Many of these sites offer free shipping and in some cases, in-store pick-up. BestBuy and ToysRUs also offer special promotions sometimes, like Buy 1 Get 1 Half Off sort of things. The deals get sweeter around Black Friday every year -- that's after Thanksgiving for the noobs out there.
5) Penny pincher sites like CheapyAssGamer, SlickDeals, and FatWallet are also great for getting up-to-the-minute news on where deals are happening.
6) Used games are a good way to go if you're not stuck on getting pristine condition games. Ebay, Half.com, Halfpricebooks, GameFly, and Amazon's Marketplace offer some sweet deals you won't believe.
7) Xbox LIVE, PSN, and Steam also offer deals on downloadable games. Xbox has their Gold Deals, while PSN has their Winter Sales. Totally worth holding off on your trigger finger and wait a few months for a game that'll be 30-50% off in a few months.
8) Trade-in credit is also a good way to sell off your old games to buy new ones. ToysRUs, Walmart, and even Target are even getting in the act. Of course, the best way to make money off of those old games is to sell them yourself.
Hope that helps guys. Happy gaming!
