Microsoft had a fantastic showing at E3 this year, and one of the highlights of the conference was definitely the information about new multiplayer features in Gears of War 2. New finishing moves, innovative competitive modes and a freaking awesome flamethrower promise to add new dimensions to an already complex and entertaining online experience.

Some of you might remember the multiplayer from the first game and be thinking, "How is it possible to improve on an already flawless system?". Well there have been many different improvements for the sequel and it is kind of hard for me to point out each and every one, but I do have the video for your viewing pleasure. Check it out thanks to gametrailers.com.

As you can see for yourself multi-player has taken a whole new step for Gears of War 2 with more animations while taking down opponents, the ability to crawl away while down, the hostage-taking mechanic, new weapons and the addition of a shield for more strategic combat. Finally, some new and improved curb stomping moves. My personal favorite is going bare knuckle with the downed enemy. I am looking forward to GOW 2's release later on this year. As always stay tuned to gameflavor for more information on things you crave a taste for. "Stay Frosty" gamers!
