Blind Taste Test for Xbox 360 Games

Have you ever argued with a buddy which console (Xbox 360 or PS3) has the better games? Of course, you can both throw out game titles you love and tally them up for each system, but how accurate is that? Especially since you can't remember what you had for breakfast. Well, lucky for you we got your back.

With a little digging we found out that Edge and EEDAR (Electronic Entertainment Design and Research) performed an analysis on the Metacritic scores received by Xbox 360 games. There were some surprise findings. Their research revealed that from 2005-2008, only 13% (48 titles) of all Xbox 360 games released in North America were reviewed with a B or better (scored 85% or higher). Sadly, 38% (136 titles) scored a C or worse (65% or lower).

Ultimately, will this affect your love of the console? It really boils down to how much fun you've had with the games you've bought. Since you've found your way to Xboxist, it's obvious you have good taste. With your high game IQ, finding a good game isn't too hard a challenge. But for the regular Joe, the odds are not in his favor that a random 360 game he picks up will be any good.
