Mega List of Things To Do in Saints Row 2

The upcoming sequel to Saints Row has created quite a stir online with an aggressive marketing campaign that seeks to highlight the deficiencies in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is true that the two games have veered off in very different directions, design wise. The developers at Rockstar toiled hard to create an engrossing, story-driven experience that focused on human relationships more than any previous sandbox-style game. The folks at THQ have gone in a direction more reminiscent to San Andreas, crafting a huge, wide open playground in which literally anything is possible. While Saints Row 2 may not win any awards for realism, its designers have managed to pack in a seemingly impossible amount of different gameplay activities. Here is a (still incomplete!) list of some of the many things players will be able to do in the game when it arrives on October 14:

Buy stuff for your apartment
Dress as a ninja
Or a pirate
Roast people with the flamethrower
Take over a chain of supermarkets
See your face appear on billboards in the game
Dress emo
Drive a monster truck
Wear women’s underwear
Or S&M gear
Bling out your character
Earn respect points by driving with an injured pedestrian on the hood of your car
Get a piercing
Go BASE jumping
Interrupt lovers making out on a bench
Equip your car or motorcycle with nitrous oxide

Eat Greek food
Eat doughnuts
Watch a street performer breathe fire
Set your car on cruise control
Autosave during the middle of missions

Get a tattoo
Set the clothes to be worn by your gang
