Final Fantasy XIII Coming to Xbox 360
If you felt a disturbance in the force this afternoon, as if 1,000,000 Sony fanboys suddenly gasped in anguish, don't worry. It was just Don Mattick hitting the high point of an exceptionally energetic Microsoft press briefing at this year's E3. At the very end of the presentation, the company dropped the megaton announcement that the upcoming Square Enix title, previously a PS3 exclusive, will now be coming to the 360.
Interestingly, the game will remain a PS3 exclusive in Japan, presumably due to the low sales of the Xbox 360 in that country. English language localizations will be coming to both consoles outside of Japan.
Reactions from gamers and journalists were predictably polarized. Message boards and blogs around the internet immediately lit up with heated discussions about the impact of the announcement.
